2 PHD studenships in Manchester

The Health Sciences Research Group invites applications for 2012 NIHR School for Primary Care Research (NSPCR) PhD studentships. The 3-year awards are aimed at individuals with an outstanding academic record looking to develop a career within primary care research. Awards are due to commence October 2012 and provide full support for tuition fees alongside an annual tax-free stipend of £18, 000 and non-pay allowance of up to £30, 000.

Successful applicants will develop their own project proposal linked to one of our research themes:

• Health organisations

• Long-term conditions

• Medical statistics

• Mental health

• Patient experience and involvement

• Patient safety

• Quality of care
