This is a fantastic opportunity to join Velti’s Performance Marketing team. We are looking for an exceptional individual whose key responsibilities will be to:



Provide reporting and performance monitoring to our Innovation and Account Management teams using data drawn from our Large Scale Campaigns results
Perform detailed data exploration and validation to separate
genuine phenomena from spurious anomalies
Develop, implement, and evaluate complex statistical models to predict or describe participant behavior (e.g., response, conversion, termination, campaign value, etc.).
Along with our Account Management team design and analyze structured experiments to understand/measure the effects of changes in various campaign factors.
Present new insights and analyses that inform decisions and help
us innovate our solutions and continue to entertain and engage the people participating in our campaigns



Required Experience & Qualifications



MS or PhD in applied statistics, mathematics, economics, or a related quantitative field
5+ years hands-on experience in predictive modeling and data mining
Logistic regression, ANOVA, exploratory data analysis, discriminant analysis, factor analysis, principle components analysis, clustering, and other statistical techniques

Detailed knowledge of hypothesis testing and experimental design principles
Basic statistics (practical knowledge of R, SAS or similar is a plus)
Experienced querying large, complex data sets (order of terabytes)- excellent SQL skills is mandatory, practical knowledge of perl scripting or Unix shell commands is a plus
Former experience performing quantitative analysis- preferably for an internet or technology company
