Job description :

The School of Computing and Mathematics, which is part of the Faculty of Science and Technology, wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Statistics. The School has responsibility for delivering courses in the mathematical sciences across a wide range of disciplines as well as on its own degree programmes.

You will be expected to contribute to the delivery of the School's range of teaching in statistics, to undertake research and to participate in outreach and other activities.

Statistics staff undertake research in developing statistical methodology to solve problems in a range of modern applied areas. You may have research interests in any area of statistics but, ideally, someone who would strengthen our existing statistics research groups is sought.

You will also be expected to play a full part in the range of other activities undertaken by this group of staff. Some teaching experience is essential and an interest in developing novel course delivery and assessment methods is desirable.

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis.
