RESEARCH ASSISTANT (STATISTICIAN)
UCL Grade 6; £27,796 - £29,318 per annum. (Appointments are made at the bottom of the scale).
Applications are invited for a full-time position as Research Assistant within the HIV Epidemiology & Biostatistics Group in the Research Department of Infection & Population Health. The post holder will be responsible for statistical analysis and modelling relating to HIV and perhaps other infectious diseases. It will involve input into design and analysis of trials and observational studies and some simulation modelling.
This post is available immediately and is funded for 3 years in the first instance.
Applicants should have a good first degree in mathematics or statistics with an MSc in Medical Statistics or equivalent, and some knowledge of the statistical package SAS. We will consider applications from students expecting to complete their MSc this summer. Excellent written/spoken English and communication skills are also essential.
