Consultant in Official Statistics

Duties:
 Data processing: retrieval of data from various sources, data integration, data validation, data management
 Review of methodological literature on Official Statistics or on domains treated by Official Statistics, e.g. economy, agriculture, environment, etc.
 Review of literature relevant to national and EU policies
 Statistical data analysis
 Preparation of methodological recommendations about the production of Official Statistics
 Report writing and presentation of findings to audiences of various backgrounds

Requirements:
 M.Sc. or higher degree in Statistics or in other fields with a substantial statistical component
 Advanced data management skills
 Good knowledge of computer programming
 Very good knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
 Very good knowledge of R or equivalent package
 Very good writing skills; ability to present findings to audiences of various backgrounds
 Ability to work independently and under pressure
 Ability to express oneself fluently in English, in writing and orally
 Two years of work experience in projects for the European Commission or other international organisations are desirable
