Onside Analysis is looking for students of the game. You specialise in a particular league, you have extensive knowledge of the teams and players, and you know intricacies of the league with expert knowledge. You can put yourself in the Manager’s position, read his mind and leave no stone unturned in your research to predict and assess how teams will approach upcoming matches.
The Role
We are looking for talented individuals to research and analyse teams and matches on a contractor (paid on a monthly basis during the season) basis to join our team. We are recruiting for the Football Research Analyst position worldwide, specialising in the following leagues: English League 1, English League 2, Greek Super League, Danish SuperLigaen, Scottish Premiership, Japanese J-League, Belgian Jupiler League, Swedish Allsvenskan, Swiss Super League, USA MLS. We also want to hear from specialists in Austrian, Italian, Spanish and Turkish football.
The Hours
You must be available to produce your research on every match three days in advance of each game played in the league that you specialise in along with providing updates the day before each match is played. This typically involves producing the research on evenings and weekends meeting strict deadlines.
Your Profile
An education or experience in football research and/or analysis is preferable. Fluent English is essential along with the relevant language for the league you specialise in. Knowledge and understanding of the game is essential and you should have excellent analytical skills. Accuracy is absolutely fundamental – whether that is in your research or your grammar. You should be IT literate and have high motivation and enthusiasm. The role is home based and you should have access to high speed internet and preferably live games on television. There may be also opportunities to analyse and collect data on individual matches post-match.
