The chair of Statistics and Data Science of the RWTH Aachen University invites applications for a research assistant position.
A two-year full-time contract is offered (in the salary class TV-L13), while extension is intended.
Your duties will be:
· Research, targeting to a PhD degree in the field of stochastic modeling, mathematical or applied statistics, data science.
· Assistance in teaching of the courses offered by the chair (for students of Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economic Sciences, Business Administration & Engineering).
Candidates should have a very good degree in Mathematics or Statistics, profound knowledge of Stochastics, especially Statistics, as well as distinguished teaching skills.
The position could also be of a post-doc level.
