Research Fellow in Statistics (Fixed Term, 12 months)

London Metropolitan University - Faculty of Computing, STORM (Statistics, OR and Mathematics Research Centre)

Full time, 35 hours per week

We are seeking a post graduate researcher to work on the development of GAMLSS models (www.gamlss.org). The researcher will work in STORM, the Statistics, OR and Mathematics Research Centre of London Metropolitan University, located in the Faculty of Computing. The Research Centre had an internationally excellent rating in Statistics in the 2008 RAE, and a world leading rating in Pure Mathematics. STORM is the originator of the GAMLSS methodology and software, and is leading a team of international users in the development and use of GAMLSS. This is a unique opportunity to join the team developing GAMLSS at a time of its rapidly increasing adoption throughout the world. Applicants should have post degree experience of statistical modelling and of statistical programming, preferably in R. Knowledge of data mining software would be advantageous.
