The APSIA group (Applied Security and Information Assurance Group), led by Prof P Y A Ryan, is seeking two post-docs with an excellent track record in research in information assurance.

The first position is in the area of information assurance with particular interest in the following topics:

The design and analysis of cryptographic protocols and primitives (classical and quantum)
Verifiable voting schemes
Information flow analysis.
The socio-technical aspects of security.
The second position is in the area of intrusion detection and countering cyber-crime, with particular interest in the following topics:

Intrusion detection
Detecting and combating cybercrime
Protecting critical infrastructures.
Data mining
Applications from candidates with expertise in these areas are especially welcome, but excellent candidates from other fields will also be considered.

Prerequisites : advanced knowledge in theory of systems security, applied cryptography is essential.

Candidates have to possess:

- A PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field, with a strong interest in Security.
- Inquisitiveness, commitment, and a critical attitude.
- Very good written and oral English skills.
- A working knowledge in German and/or French is an advantage.
- A good track record of research with a strong list of publications.

- research statement and topics of particular interest to the candidate (300 words).

- description of the undergraduate project (1 page),
