Data Scientist (DS 10/13)
This position involves being part of the European R&D team to develop business analytics products.
IRI is interested in talented applied scientists, with experience of working with large real world data sets in a first-class research environment. With a proven track record in tackling challenging scientific problems and the desire to apply their skills to answer questions that the top fast moving consumer goods and retail markets pose.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Developing novel tests and tools to aid pattern recognition and learning in large data sets
Using applied statistical and mining techniques to develop quantitative models to predict sales movements in the market
Managing clean and processing large datasets from multiple sources
Acquiring a sophisticated understanding of the market and IRI’s proprietary research techniques
Communicating findings to managers
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
M.Sc. or Ph.D. in one of the below or a relevant technical fields:machine learning, engineering, applied mathematics, statistics, computer science
3+ years of experience in a relevant role will be considered as a strong asset
Extensive experience in solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches
Strong SQL knowledge
Knowledge of an analysis tool such as R, Matlab, or SAS. C++ will be considered an asset
Proven experience in manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from various sources
