PwC advisors work with clients to solve business problems or spot unidentified issues using advanced analytics tools and techniques.
Our BI and Analytics team is growing and we’re looking for a Data Scientist to join us.
The role entails:
- Working closely with industry experts, business analysts, data engineers and BI visualization experts
- Applying your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and machine learning in order to design and build the appropriate data models which will provide answers to complex business questions
- Developing the most efficient and attractive visualization for business users
- Communicate your findings to clients with in-depth understanding of the issues and suggestions that are meaningful and impact critical business processes/decisions
The successful candidate should have:
- Strong academic record in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Physics, Operational Research (postgraduate degree will be considered an asset) or other related field
- Proven experience in implementing and deploying complex Machine Learning solutions (using various methods, such as Random forests, Bayesian networks, Kernel density estimation, principal components, etc.)
- Very good knowledge and experience in the area of applied statistics (Descriptive, Exploratory, Inferential, Predictive, Causal, Mechanistic)
- Very good knowledge and experience of R statistical programming and visualization language. Additional knowledge of SAS and/or SPSS is preferred
- Familiar with tools for managing structured and unstructured data (SQL, OLAP, mongoDB, etc.) will be considered an asset Experience in effective visualization (QlikView, Spotfire, Targit, etc.) is desired
- A confident and positive attitude, focused on teamwork and communication with colleagues and clients at all levels
- Excellent business analytical and problem solving skills
- Adaptability and agility to change; Innovative, thoughtful and enthusiastic attitude about learning on different industries and markets
- Commitment to providing excellent quality work and building client relationships
- Ability to express ideas verbally and in writing, in a clear, concise and professional manner (both in English & in Greek)
- Military services fulfilled for male candidates
