Sun 13 Sep 2015 - 12:22
Biometrics*1, Wageningen UR, is looking for a PhD candidate, jointly with the statistical genetics group*2 of the department of Medical Statistics and Bioinformatics, Leiden University Medical Center. The project is a part of the STW Breed4Food partnership*3 .
The project aims to develop statistical genetic methodology to increase the accuracy of genomic prediction for complex phenotypic traits by optimal use of sequence information. This new prediction methodology will approximate as closely as possible total genetic variation.
Candidates should hold a degree in mathematics, statistics, statistical genetics, biostatistics, or in animal breeding with a strong statistical component.
More details can be found in https://www.academictransfer.com/employer/WUR/vacancy/29645/lang/en/
or Project Topbreed of the STW Breed4Food partnership*3.
