invites applicants for a position of a

*Research Scientist/ Post-doc*

(salary based on a German TV-L 13 Scale)

within the DFG-funded project of

*German-Swiss Research Group*

*“Statistical Regularisation and Qualitative Constraints”*

The position within the sub-project B5„Partial least squares for serially dependent data“ is for a period of 3 years and based on a currently regular working time of 39.8 hours/week.

The project deals with the asymptotic properties of partial least squares method and its application to protein dynamics modelling in co-operation with the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry. Partial least squares is a statistical regularisation method that is closely related to particular numerical mathematics techniques. Therefore, successful candidates should have a strong background in mathematical statistics and/or numerical mathematics.
