Job description
As the analytics Manager, you will be part of the Business Intelligence team, and reporting to head of Business Intelligence.
You will lead a small team of very skilled data analysts. As such, you should have a hands-on attitude combining both strong technical and interpersonal skills. You will have a significant input of what the team will deliver, should be the driver of innovation within the analytics team. You will be a key contributor to the direction Business Intelligence will take.
Your role will be to innovate the use of data and analytics, to provide insights and deliver effective analytics, visualizations and actionable recommendations to stakeholders within the business.
Your analytical support will significantly impact the decision making capability of other functions within the company. You will apply your skills in processing and analyzing big volumes of customer interaction data to unveil new patterns and trends, address business questions and maximize campaign effectiveness.
A suitable candidate should have a passion for data and problem solving, background in analytics, experience in working with large datasets, and some experience in statistics and software development.
Key Accountabilities
Set the strategy and manage the day-to-day tactical operations of the Analytics/ Data Analysis team
Maintain and improve models and business processes used for KPI forecasting, customer lifetime value, segmentation and profiling
Work closely with the marketing team to design and analyze performance optimization experiments
Take advantage of large amounts of data to understand how consumers interact with our products and support marketing campaign optimization, customer experience journey improvement, customer retention, segmentation and propositions development
Use data analysis to investigate significant fluctuations in daily campaign metrics
Cooperate with data management and engineering teams, supporting the design of our BI infrastructure
Desired Skills and Experience:
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering or other quantitative field
4+ years of relevant work experience
Exploratory Data Analysis and Data Visualization skills
Hands-on experience with SQL and spreadsheets
Scripting skills, preferably in Python
Knowledge of the R language and/or Pandas
Experience in data mining (e.g. clustering, regression, classification)
Experience in BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Pentaho, Microstrategy)
Personal Characteristics
Bright, ambitious, self-driven, hard-working and flexible
Able to perform under pressure and deliver results in a demanding and fast-paced environment that requires fresh thinking and innovation
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Attention to detail
Tech-savvy
Strong quantitative, analytical and computer skills
